Cathy's Bed & Breakfast at Topmuir Farm is situated half a mile off the A75, between Annan and Dumfries, with panoramic views across open countryside. It is well placed for stop-over nights between ferries from Stranraer and Newcastle. Also ideal as a start or finish point for a tour of Scotland

If time permits, stay a little longer and enjoy the area which is steeped in the history of the Border Reivers and Scotland's national poet Robert Burns, Gretna Green - famous for runaway marriages where, with the appropriate licence, you can still marry today or Caerlaverock is well worth a visit for the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust and it's medeival, three-cornered, moated castle.
Enjoy a round of golf on the many and varied courses or rest by a river, lake or loch for a spot of fishing. Between the months of September and April you can watch or have a go at the Scottish game of curling on the ice rinks in Lockerbie and Dumfries.

Cathy's Bed & Breakfast at Topmuir Farm is the ideal base for touring Dumfries and Galloway, the Borders and the north of England.

We have two bedrooms available - one double room and one double with single.
Both bedrooms have central heating, hairdryer, alarm clock and a hospitality tray with a selection of teas and coffees. Shared bathroom with shower and a sitting room.
A comfortable lounge with TV and open fire is available for guests to use. Relax and unwind after a days travelling with a nice cup of tea and some delicious farmhouse homebaking.
Breakfast times are 08:00 - 08:30 and early breakfasts from 06:00 are also catered for.
