  Inn Amenities

Relax in our quiet and safe beer garden on your return.

The inn is extremely interesting in itself. It was built c.1824, starting life as a woollen mill, then a pencil mill, eventually becoming the licensed premises it is today. It is full of attractive Victorian prints, furnishings and antiques.

From the moment you enter the welcoming Victorian residents' hallway, you will feel at home and comfortable at The Coledale Inn.

Twelve en-suite rooms are located in both the Georgian and Victorian parts of the hotel, all having tea and coffee making facilities for that early morning refresher - or at any time you wish! Colour TV is supplied in every room. There is ample hanging and drawer space for outdoor clothing as well as casual wear for evening relaxation. Drying facilities are available if required.

Part of a family room showing the bunk beds. Bring the kids!
We can offer a variety of rooms - doubles, twin beds - some rooms have an additional single bed and we also can accommodate children in bunk beds in a family room. We aim to offer precisely the arrangements you need.

Home made meals are served each lunchtime and evening in the dining room. Evening meals maybe selected from our extensive menu or from our "specials" blackboard on display. There are vegetarian meals on the menu as well as Children's meals. If you have any particular dietary requirements, please contact The Coledale Inn.
In the morning we offer a full "English" breakfast as well as your own choice of options. Help yourself to cereals, juices etc. while we prepare your choice of main course breakfast. Toast with butter or spread and preserves is also provided, as well as tea or coffee.

For a more informal feel, you may take your evening meal in one of our two licensed bars. Both the Victorian Bar and the Georgian Bar are stocked with a fine selection of traditional and local ales.

Our cellar is stocked with a fine selection of wines and beers including cask conditioned Black Sheep bitter, Theakstones Best and local brews from Yates and Jennings.

In the warmer months, sit out at tables in our grassy beer garden where the kids can play safe from traffic.

Enjoy the view and your drink in the quiet surroundings offered by The Coledale Inn.
