  Inn Amenities

Douglas and Lorna extend a warm Scottish welcome to Whitecroft where all rooms are on ground level with central heating throughout.

A regular bus service picks up guests from outside the main driveway and transports them to Princes street, the heart of Edinburgh city. The train station is also nearby, a 10 min car drive.

Almondell Country Park is on our back door with beautiful country walks along by the river Almond.

There are many restaurants nearby some of which are within walking distance into the village as Whitecroft is on the outskirts of East Calder.

The garden is well looked after by Douglas and Lorna, and if we haven't got a spade in our hands, it's a paintbrush.

You can relax in our gazebo with a bottle of wine at the end of your day as the sun sets for the night.

All three of our rooms at Whitecroft are colour co-ordinated with central heating througout and are cleaned to a very high standard.

All rooms have:

Colour TV
Radio/alarm clock
Heated towel rail
Hair dryer
Shoe shine
Hand cream
Body lotion
Shower gel
Hospitality tray: coffee, tea, hot chocolate, shortbread, and chocolate mints.

Enjoy your breakfast in the dining room at your own individual table, while Lorna cooks your breakfast, which will last you all day (generous portions).

From the buffet you can enjoy fruit juice, Iced water, grapefruit, prunes, yoghurt, selection of cereals and traditional Scottish oatmeal porridge.

All meals are served with toast and freshly brewed tea and coffee. All jams are home made.
